After Professor Shmuel Oren in April 2023, our second guest will be Professor Paul Joskow from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who is a prominent member of the international academic scene.
He is internationally recognised as a specialist in the economic and institutional analysis of the electricity sector. His work in econometrics, industrial organisation and market design has won him numerous awards from a wide range of scientific communities.
This prestigious event aims to celebrate outstanding achievements in the field of energy economics. Named the Marcel Boiteux Lecture at CentraleSupélec, it pays tribute to the former chairman of EDF, who recently celebrated his centenary. Marcel Boiteux, who taught economics at CentraleSupélec, made a significant contribution to internationally recognised scientific work, embodying the French tradition of economic engineering. His pioneering work laid the foundations for the economics of the electricity sector.
