2026 Marcel Boiteux Lecture at CentraleSupélec
The S.E.R.G. and the French Association of Energy Economists are pleased to invite you to the Fourth Edition of the Marcel Boiteux Lecture at CentraleSupelec Université Paris-Saclay.
After Shmuel Oren in 2023, Paul Joskow in 2024, and Carolyn Fischer in 2025, the Marcel Boiteux Lecture at CentraleSupélec will honour Professeur Derek Bunn (London Business School) in 2026.
This edition will be an opportunity to highlight Prof. Derek Bunn's extensive experience in operational research applications (decision theory, system dynamics, agent-based simulation) and econometrics in the electricity system and energy markets.
This prestigious event aims to celebrate outstanding achievements in the field of energy economics, and pays tribute to the former chairman of EDF. Marcel Boiteux, who taught economics at CentraleSupélec, made a significant contribution to internationally recognized scientific work, embodying the French tradition of economic engineering. His pioneering work laid the foundations for the economics of the electricity sector, and for research into carbon taxe.
The ceremony will take place on 14 April 2026 at 2pm in the Amphithéatre Rousseau on CentraleSupélec's Paris-Saclay campus. A lunch will precede the ceremony.
