The S.E.R.G. and the French Association of Energy Economists are pleased to invite you to the Third Edition of the Marcel Boiteux Lecture at CentraleSupelec Université Paris-Saclay.
After Professor Shmuel Oren in 2023 and Professor Paul Joskow in 2024, the Marcel Boiteux Lecture at CentraleSupélec will honour Carolyn Fischer in 2025.
Senior fellow at Resources for the Future, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow of the European Commission, Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Member of scientific councils in the energy sector, senior economist at the World Bank, Carolyn Fischer is one of the world's leading Climate economists : first female economist in the repec Environmental ranking, top 3 in Energy.
This prestigious event aims to celebrate outstanding achievements in the field of energy economics, and pays tribute to the former chairman of EDF. Marcel Boiteux, who taught economics at CentraleSupélec, made a significant contribution to internationally recognized scientific work, embodying the French tradition of economic engineering. His pioneering work laid the foundations for the economics of the electricity sector, and for research into carbon taxe.
The ceremony will take place on 8 April 2025 at 2pm in the Amphithéatre Rousseau on CentraleSupélec's Paris-Saclay campus. A lunch will precede the ceremony. Registration required.
