Biography: Eléonore Mounoud was born in 1967. She is now Full Professor in Strategic Management.
She received her degree in agricultural sciences from AgroParistech in 1989 and her PhD in strategic management from HEC (Jouy-en-Josas) in 1997.
In between, she worked for 3 years as innovation consultant at CMi and received a PhD grant from ADEME, the French Environment Agency.
She became assistant professor at Centrale Paris (1990-1996) and he was tenured associate professor of Management (1997-2021).
From 2012 to 2017, she was co-chair of BNP Paribas Research Chair for Operational Efficiency.
She supervised 8 PhD theses and is currently supervising 3 PhD students.
Research Topics: Her research area is known as “strategy as practice”, the study of strategizing and organizing, defined as the recursive articulation between resources (particularly discursive: texts, discourse, but also tools and devices) and everyday activities (narratives, conversations, routines) that shape organizations.
This perspective has fueled her work on corporate transformations, the management fashions that drive them as well as the practices that implement them, within multiple companies: Société Générale (1999/2003), PSA (2000/2005), Lafarge (2004/2009), SNCF (2007/2009), RFF (2010/2012) and BNP Paribas (2012/2017).
She is currently working on ecological and social transition issues as part of the Transition project centre and the S.E.R.G. at CentraleSupélec, as well as the DU program ‘Agir pour le climat’ at Université Paris-Saclay.
Teaching Activities: business administration, strategic management, innovation management, transition management, CSR.
Management Duties: Scientific director of Mastère Spécialisé Technologie & Management at CS Exed since 2000 ; Head of the Human, Economics and Social Sciences teaching department at CS since 2023.
